Three Weeks In — and We Are Just Getting Started
Three weeks ago we opened the doors on MyRefCards. We had a product we believed in, a tagline we meant, and a genuine hope that the people who needed this would find it. What we did not have was any idea just how quickly that would happen.
Spoiler: it happened fast. And we could not be more grateful.
The Free Windows Card Changed Everything
We offered the Windows Explorer reference card for free for one simple reason: we wanted people to experience what a MyRefCards card actually feels like before they spent a dollar. Download it. Print it. Prop it up. See if it sticks.
It stuck. Dozens of people grabbed the free card in the first few weeks alone. And what happened next was exactly what we hoped for but did not dare assume: they came back. They browsed the full library, found the cards for the apps they live in every day, and placed orders. Not because we pushed them to, but because the free card did its job.
Give people something useful for free, and they will trust you with the rest.
That is the whole philosophy. No pressure. No gimmicks. Just a genuinely helpful product that earns the next click on its own merit.
What Our Customers Are Saying
The reviews have been wonderful. Honestly, reading them has been one of the best parts of running this business so far. People are not just saying the cards are useful — they are telling us why, and that detail matters enormously to how we build from here.
I grabbed the free Windows card on a whim and ended up buying three more before the week was out. I have been using Excel for years and still found shortcuts I had never tried. Now they are just part of how I work.
Simple concept, executed really well. I taped mine above my monitor and within two days I had already cut my back-and-forth with Google in half. Exactly what I needed.
Great idea and a great product. Bought cards for myself and ordered a set for my whole team. Everyone has something different on their desk now. Highly recommend.
Your Input Is Shaping What We Build Next
Here is something we did not fully anticipate: the suggestions. From the very first week, customers started telling us what they wanted to see next. What apps they rely on. What workflows trip them up. What shortcuts they wish they had on a card right now.
Every single one of those suggestions has been read, logged, and factored into our production roadmap. This is not a company that builds in a vacuum. You tell us what you need, and we build it. That feedback loop is one of the most valuable things we have going right now — and we want more of it.
The more input we get, the stronger the product library becomes, and the more accessible productivity shortcuts become for the applications everyone relies on every day. That is not just good for MyRefCards — it is good for every person sitting at a desk trying to work smarter.
What Should We Build Next?
Here is what is already on the production list based on your early suggestions. Do not see your app? Tell us — the most-requested tools move to the top of the queue.
What Week Four Looks Like
New cards are in production. The library is expanding. And we are paying very close attention to every review, every suggestion, and every note that comes through our inbox.
If you have not yet grabbed your free Windows Explorer card, start there. It costs nothing and takes about 45 seconds to download and print. If it helps you even once a day, it will pay for itself a hundred times over.
And if you have already tried it and come back for more — thank you. You are the reason we come to work energized every morning.
